Ramayana Part C: (notes)
Hanuman, Rama, and Lakshmana attack Ravanahttp://ouocblog.blogspot.com/2014/07/image-hanuman -rama-and-lakshmana-attack.html |
To return Sita to her beloved Rama. The stage is set with so much disarray and turmoil. This poor goddess woman ripped from him by Ravana...
Sampati http://ouocblog.blogspot.com/2010/07/pde- ramayana-they-reach-sea.html |
Rama and Monkey King, Sugriva join as friends with common suffering- both wives were taken from them. Sugriva will help, if Rama can help him defeat Voli first. Voli's wife, Tara, begs Voli to change his mind and make peace but he refuses; he is shot and killed by Rama's arrow.
Sugriva betrays Rama and does not pursue Sita with quick purpose. He instead enjoys his many wives and victories.
Sampati, vulture, tells of how he has seen Sita in Lanka, raped by Ravana.

Sita is visited by Hanuman http://www.columbia.edu/itc/mealac/pritchett/00routesdata /bce_299_200/ramayana/hanvisit/hanvisit.html |
Hanuman (monkey): travels to Lanka and searches for Sita. Eventually finds her in Ashoka Grove, surrounded by demons. Hanuman is captured but is wise; his tail has been caught on fire but do to Sita's prayer, the sacred fire burins cold and does not harm him. He burns down Lanka.
My favorite imagery of Part C- Ramayana is of Sita in the Ashoka Grove:
-full of sorrow
-anguish
-eyes lightless
I love all the images you included in your notes. And the formatting is wonderful and makes it easy to read. I also like to give a synapsis to remember what was going on, but I hadn't thought to make a list like that with the imagery. Your post is just very visually beautiful. I plan on taking some notes to help with my own. Thank you!
