Week 12: Extra Reading

Following the Round-About:

Arjuna is central to the Indian Epic, Mahabharata. He is known as a Pandava brother and the victor of Draupadi, winning her in the contest of her Swayamvara.

The readings of me evenings landed me into the pool of Arjuna's charioteers and I found that to be epically interesting.

One of his charioteers was Krishna, the god, who could not directly intervene in the war. Krishna, having favored the Pandavas and wished to have his way, knew that helping them the most meant that he could influence Dharma via steering the chariot of Arjuna.

The charioteers for these warriors of the epics were crucial to the success or failure of the battle. e saw in the Mahabharata that something as simple as a wheel getting stuck in the mud could mean victory or death for a rival.
